What I Believe

We Chose A Life Lesson

We each have a topic to resolve this lifetime. For some it is money, others health, having children, family, or finding a belief in self.

Each life lesson creates situations to push the person to discover the truth for themselves in order to resolve the issue and reach the goal. Money teaches people that they are valuable, health how to care about and for themselves, love that they are love.

Although my journey dealt with many topics, my life lesson was love. I desperately wanted to find love but could not because I didn’t believe that I was lovable, and was filled with fears, insecurities and painful memories.

My journey led me to discover for myself that I am special, to form my own beliefs of myself, the world and my place in it, heal all of my fears so I could open and become love, and to follow my dreams because they are mine.

A life lesson journey is when people face and heal their fears and beliefs of themselves and in the process teach themselves how very special they are.
My books and teachings share what I discovered on my journey.

We Learn What to Believe From Our Family

When we were little children, everything was new so we didn’t know what to believe about anything. Because a child’s role is to learn how to live as a human being, we used all that we saw, heard and experienced to form a set of Inner Beliefs about who and what we are, the world and our place in it.

If mummy yelled at me then “I must be a bad person.” If I am always getting into trouble then “I can’t do anything right.” If they don’t like me then “I am not a lovable person.”

We copied the behaviors and values of our parents, and began treating ourselves as they did. We even learned to judge and complain at ourselves just like they did.

“You are stupid.” “You can’t do anything right.” “No you can’t have a new toy because you don’t deserve it.” Sound familiar?

We Store Every Thought and Emotion

We can think of any event and feel the emotions of that time, as if experiencing it right now. Our stockpile of sadness and hurt is full and ready to be emptied, which is why they have been bubbling up.

We Grow Up Using These Beliefs

Our unique set of Inner Beliefs creates the foundation and rules of our life and living. We just know them to be true because they are the facts of life, the reality of life. We have no reason to doubt or question them.

“I am a lazy person.” “I fail at everything I do.” “Life is scary and hard.” “I will always have to depend on myself and no-one else.” “No-one can love me or is there for me.”

We do grow up living and experiencing what we believe.

Beliefs are Temporary

We forgot one very important thing, and that is: The Inner Beliefs we took on as a child were only meant to be temporary, required so we could function in the world at that time.

They are temporary Inner Beliefs only to be used until we were mature enough to decide what to believe for ourselves!

Therefore, we can decide to change our Inner Beliefs at any time!

These Beliefs Are Not Our Own

Every single thing we believe about us is what someone else taught or said to us!

As a child we naturally accepted and believed what they said. When they told us “You’re lazy and will never get anywhere in life” we believed this to be a fact of life.

Now that we are adults, we have the option to accept or deny anything we choose. If I told you today “You’re lazy and will never get anywhere in life” would you believe and accept it as reality? I doubt it.

Every single thing you think of yourself, the world and your place in it is someone else’s viewpoint, and NOT your own!

Do you wish to base your life on someone else’s viewpoint? Or would you like to remove these foreign beliefs which cloud your thoughts and sabotage your life, so you can create your own special ones?

21st Century Personal Development

It is 40+ years since the New Age Movement first introduced the concepts of Personal Power and Co-Creation. Now ‘doing what feels right’, ‘believing that we have the power to create’ and ‘the desire to take charge of our lives’ are common place ideals.

Discussions of spirit, soul, reincarnation and belief in self are openly encouraged, even with children.

We who live in the 21st century have attained a freedom of mind, body and spirit that allows us to explore and grow far beyond what our parents and grandparents ever dreamed possible. This is clearly demonstrated by the fact that our quest to find inner peace often begins where theirs ended.

They perceived that thoughts were the Inner Beliefs; therefore forcing yourself to change your thoughts with affirmations changed your beliefs and your life experiences.

We now recognize that thoughts and Inner Beliefs are two separate things, so we can go directly to the source and treat the Inner Beliefs, which automatically creates the life changes we desire.

21st Century Personal Development is a direct reflection of this natural evolution of inner growth and ability.

Thoughts and Inner Beliefs Are Two Separate Things

For example: After going on a date I float around and dream of love, then snap myself back to reality with the thought “He won’t love you anyway so stop being silly.”

The thought “He won’t love you anyway so stop being silly” is a reflection of something I know to be fact. “I am not lovable”, which is my Inner Belief.

That is just an example of one of the many thoughts that would come from this single Inner Belief “I am not lovable.”

Thoughts and words are not Inner Beliefs, but they do show us what we really believe from deep inside.

Taking this next step in Personal Development, we can use our thoughts and words as tools to become aware of our hidden negative Inner Beliefs, so we are then able to stop and decide whether we wish to keep this idea or remove and replace it with its opposite.

Affirmations

As affirmations aim to change thought alone, they do little to change our Inner Beliefs and life experiences. I can tell myself that “I am lovable and everyone loves me” repeatedly for days and days, even weeks, but unless I know it to be part of my truth (Inner Belief), it cannot make sense to me, nor fill my life with loving people and make it easy for me to express love as previously thought.

There are reasons why I am scared of love, why I took on the Inner Belief that I wasn’t lovable, and why I am filled with sadness. Would you rather pretend to be happy by repeatedly telling yourself that you are, or actually be happy?

21st Century Personal Development goes directly to the cause of our unhappiness, the Inner Beliefs.

By changing our Inner Beliefs we automatically create new lives and experiences based on whatever we choose.

For example, a person who currently believes that “I am not lovable” can permanently change it to “I am lovable” using Greene’s Release, which will change how they think, feel, view themselves, and act. They will immediately begin living the experience that matches their new “I am lovable” Inner Belief.

It is Not Hard to Change Our Beliefs
We Just Forgot That we Can

People often feel an emotion and talk about it, but don’t go any further. I developed a relatively simple process called Greene’s Release that allows anyone to access and change their subconscious beliefs by merely adding a couple of new steps to what people already do.

All we need do to go right to the subconscious belief is listen to what we feel, and follow the stories that come up. Then we can use a special technique to permanently remove any emotion, memory or belief and replace it with one we choose.

We Can Permanently Resolve Any Issue & Emotion

We can either spend our time in the drama of wanting to escape situations and emotions, or decide to end it permanently by resolving its cause.
Decide what you want. It is totally up to you!
