Greene’s Release Tip

When we step out of
our problem solving, analytical mindset, anything becomes possible!

People either use their problem solving mindset to analyze and rationalize issues, or meditation
to escape reality for a short time.

Greene’s Release takes advantage of an alternative mindset that allows us to stay grounded in our physical reality, while accessing and dissolving the cause of our problems.

We already use this alternative mindset every time we step out of our analytical mindset to dance, listen to music, paint, draw, compose musical tunes that make us feel alive, or write poetry and love stories.

It is impossible to do any of these things when we are thinking about problems and how to resolve them. It is a free state of mind.

Easy To Access

As soon as you start feeling your experiences instead of thinking about them, a whole new mindset of healing and possibilities opens up before your eyes.

This is why the workbook exercises involve everyday activities that are presented with a fresh perspective so you can feel and experience them fully
- as if for the first time.

You will be amazed at how different each experience becomes, and delight at your new found insights that flow.

Changing Mindsets

Here are some tips to help you step out of your problem solving mindset.

Just remember to actually DO the following steps rather than staying in your analytical mindset of merely reading and thinking about them.

  • Decide

Once you firmly decide to change your life there is no longer a need to think about your problems – you are now focused on doing new activities to change your life.

This podcast shares the power that spontaneous decisions have in changing our lives… and how to make them.

  • Open Your Awareness

Realizing what your mind is doing makes it easier to decide to switch mindsets. Without interference, deliberately observe your automatic mindset for 2 whole days. Notice the things that come to mind, how often you think about problems or hear self defeating mind chatter.

  • Take Charge Of Your Mind Chatter and Mindset

You always have the power to take control, so practice jumping between mindsets – plan some specific time to deliberately shut down your worry and problem solving mindset each day until it becomes easy.

All you have to do to shut it down is say the 6 times table out loud, focusing your whole attention on it. 1 x 6=6, 2 x 6=12, 3×6=18, 4×6=24, 5×6=30, 6×6=36, 7×6=42, 8×6=48, 9×6=54, 10×6=60, 11×6=66, 12×6=72. Now say it backwards, out loud. 12×6=72, 11×6=66, 10×6=60, 9×6=54, , 8×6=48, 7×6=42, 6×6=36, 5×6=30, 4×6=24, 3×6=18, 2 x 6=12, 1 x 6=6. Repeat the 6 times table forward and backward another 3 times. Notice how the issue you were previously thinking about is gone?

Now deliberately plan an activity to focus on 100%. It could be watching a romantic movie, reading a book, playing with your child or pet, or even looking up some new apps for your ipod.

  • Experience An Alternative Mindset

Chances are that your heavy, problem solving mindset has been your focus lately, so take a break and remember how an alternative mindset feels. Make some time to listen to your favorite music everyday until this mindset is easy to jump into. Let everything go and dance, sing, or just float around within it.

Afterward, increase your awareness of how easy it was to leave your problem solving mindset, how this new mindset made you feel, and the impact it has on you for the rest of the day.

  • The Greene’s Release Free Mindset

Plan to do a workbook activity that you have previously found difficult to focus on – perhaps The Smile or Letter exercise from The Plan chapter.

First, spend 15 minutes listening to your favorite music. Let everything go and dance, sing, or just float around within it.

Second, let yourself experience the workbook activity fully – feel and live the experience freely.

Use this strategy until you are able to do activities without any mindset restrictions.

  • Relax

Relax and enjoy your new alternative mindset at will!

Pressuring yourself and expecting instant change come from your intellectual mindset – the one you are trying to shut down.
